FALANE SOLUTIONS LIMITED JOB DESCRIPTION: SALES, MARKETING & E-COMMERCE OFFICER Industry: Ceramics, Homeware and Retail Location: Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time JOB SUMMARY Our client, a ceramics and homeware retail business selling plates, cups, flower pots, decorative pieces and other ceramic products, is seeking a creative and results-driven Sales, Marketing & E-Commerce Officer to manage the online store, drive local sales and implement effective marketing strategies. The ideal candidate must have practical experience managing e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Etsy or similar platforms. Hands-on e-commerce experience is mandatory. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. E-Commerce Management
- Manage the company’s online store using Shopify, Etsy or similar platforms.
- Update product listings, prices, photographs and stock availability.
- Monitor online orders, payments, deliveries and customer enquiries.
- Improve online store performance and increase e-commerce sales. 2. Sales and Business Development
- Develop strategies to increase local retail and wholesale sales.
- Identify and attract customers, including hotels, restaurants, interior designers and corporate clients.
- Follow up on sales leads, build customer relationships and achieve sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and monitor market trends. 3. Marketing and Promotion
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the company’s products.
- Manage social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
- Create promotional content and implement digital advertising campaigns.
- Improve brand awareness, customer engagement and sales. 4. Customer Service and Reporting
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Encourage repeat business and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Prepare reports on sales, marketing campaigns and online store performance. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, E-Commerce or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing and e-commerce management.
- Mandatory: Practical experience managing an online store using Shopify, Etsy or a similar platform.
- Experience in digital marketing, social media management and online sales.
- Strong communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
- Experience in retail, ceramics, homeware or interior décor is an added advantage.
